CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER
Reporting to the Director of Sales and working independently, the Client Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with new and existing PredPol clients. They will serve as the client’s advocate and point of escalation and ensure client satisfaction in order to guarantee client retention. Additionally, the Client Account Manager will oversee the non-technical aspects of transition from a closed deal into a paying customer.
General Account Management:
-Ensure client renewal
-Ensure client satisfaction
-Maintain regular communication with assigned clients, act as primary point of contact
-Escalate retention issues as needed.
-Identify evolving client needs and requirements, particularly with surveys and site visits.
-Proactively introduce new features to clients.
-Train client’s in-person or remotely depending on customer size.
-Keep Sales team informed of reference status of account.
-Ensure that CRM tool is kept up to date with account activities, opportunities and contacts details
-Work closely with other members of Client Care team to solve client problems to their satisfaction.
-Ensure account retention in SaaS environment.
-Manage all aspects of client renewal process including contract negotiations
-Promote product usage and adoption.
-Communicate roadmap/new products/features to sales team
– Develop account plans and conduct periodic face to face account reviews with strategic accounts.
– Leverage existing client relationship to generate client referrals and identify candidates for “reference cities”
-Proactively gather information required for the scoping of future client projects, including costs, timings, background information – liaising with other internal teams where appropriate
– Work closely with Development and Marketing to design thoughtful rollouts of new products/features
-3+ years demonstrated success in an Account Management or Customer Success management capacity
-Technical competence including general understanding of IT and enterprise software, specifically SaaS
-Use of analytics platforms like Google Analytics a big plus
-Business Intelligence and/or Data Modeling and Analysis experience a big plus
-Proven analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise
-Authorization to work for any US employer without requiring visa sponsorship of any kind
-Account management experience handling up to 100 customer accounts

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
PredPol, the predictive policing company, is continuing to build out its team. We’re now looking to hire a full-stack developer in our Northern California office, located in beautiful Santa Cruz.
PredPol uses machine learning to process large datasets to predict where and when crimes will occur. Our technology uses only three pieces of data to make predictions: type of crime, location of crime, and date/time of crime. Using the most objective data available makes our predictions more accurate and helps protect the privacy and civil rights of the communities served by our customers.
We’re a small company, so this is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the product and company while at the same time helping to keep our cities safer. We operate in an Agile environment, so you should be comfortable with working in 3-week sprints and frequent product/feature releases.
Our ideal candidate will have five or more years experience as a full-stack engineer, with a focus on back-end systems. This role will include include new product development as well as occasional upgrades to elements of the existing architecture.
• Ruby/Ruby on Rails development
• RESTful API and RESTful development
• Configuration management experience (i.e. Resque, Rspec, Chef and Capistrano)
• Source control with Git/Github
• Experience working with Google Maps and/or Bing Maps APIs
